You may have noticed our redone web portal on the world. Our webmaster, John, has equipped us with a very nice array of visual effects and tools. The information and functions offered reflect our philosophy of operation: We want our clientele and potential clientele to be well-informed (that is a commercial advantage to us as well as a sincere outcome desire for their benefit). We want to get across the idea that we few -- we happy few -- have accomplished and do accomplish quite a bit for our clientele. Note the variety of (occasionally odd) tasks we tackle. We're still enthusiastic about doing good and interesting work. We also like to provide people some tools.

We joke about being the "last chance ground water consultants" - we get called when other approaches come up empty. We wish for the fat front end of those jobs, but hey, we live to serve. 

John and I do most of the web site tweaking. Allen observes cooly from the sidelines. Fan of 50s SF, X-Files and such, he thinks the new flash photo routine reminds him of the Lone Gunmen of X-Files and brief series fame. He may have a point, we live and travel modestly, focus on our work with more than the usual fervor, played at developing newsletters and blogs, collaborate with a colorful assortment of characters, and we do have our devoted fans. No fansite that I've found, though. 

This site is a sales tool. Like the Lone Gunmen, we are in the private sector and don't draw salaries from government, academia, or anywhere else, so we need to sell time. We hope you see what you need and hire us as needed. We want you to make that decision as an informed user of our kind of services - "the truth is out there", you know. So please ask questions or describe your problem or issues (the technical ones that is) and we can see how we can help. 

The pictures we add are from our own projects, and sometimes entered in fun. If all this had to be vetted through some corporate structure somewhere, it would probably look quite different. But it isn't. Allen and Stuart are the owners. John, a self-described unemployable, is a character in his own right. This is our own vision. Finally, we deal with the Dark Side of the great world wide web. For example, the hacker types who would register as users on our site and then try to use pieces of it to refer others to their nefarious sites. These people are the sores on the body of work trying to provide good user information. In defense, to protect the rest of you legitimate users, we have instituted measures during registration that can be annoying and inconvenient. We are asking for more information from potential users. We do like to know more about you so we can respond to your information needs, but we also want to try to assure ourselves that you are a legitimate disciple of better ground water science and technology. We hope you understand. Unfortunately, we are contemplating blocking access from whole countries on the Eurasian continent.
